''Luminous Basement'' is the third and final studio album from the band The Tourists, released in 1980.〔()〕 The album was not hugely successful, peaking at #75 in the UK for only one week. This was seen as a disappointment compared to the band's previous album ''Reality Effect'' which peaked at #23 in the UK. One single was released from the album, "Don't Say I Told You So" peaked at #40 in the UK. Some editions of the album featured the bonus promo 7" single of a new track titled "From the Middle Room", backed by the exclusive b-side "Into The Future". The a-side was written by both David A. Stewart and Annie Lennox who together went on to form the Eurythmics shortly after this release. The album has been issued on CD in Japan where it remains scarce today. The band toured extensively in the UK and abroad, including a support role on the Roxy Music Manifesto Tour, but despite modest chart success, they were critically savaged by the punk-championing UK music press. This, combined with legal wranglings and some personal tensions, led to the group disbanding in 1980. ==Track listing== ''All tracks written by Peet Coombes except where noted.'' #"Walls and Foundations" - 4:17 #"Don't Say I Told You So" - 4:00 #"Week Days" - 2:45 #"So You Want To Go Away Now" - 3:08 #"One Step Nearer The Edge" - 4:43 (Annie Lennox) #"Angels and Demons" - 3:16 #"Talk to Me" - 5:57 #"Round Round Blues" - 4:05 #"Let's Take a Walk" - 2:57 (David A.
